Allum Manor

Our charity status

Allum Manor is a fully self-funded charity — every event, class, and celebration here helps us keep this historic space thriving for our community.

Many people are surprised to learn that Allum Manor receives no government or local council funding. Since 1951, we’ve been a registered charity, sustained entirely by the income we generate from hiring our hall, rooms, and outdoor spaces. This independence means we can focus on what matters most: keeping Allum Manor a vibrant, welcoming hub for the whole community.

Being self-funded comes with challenges. We cover the costs of maintaining our historic buildings and gardens, supporting community programmes, and investing in the future. But it also gives us the freedom to serve our community in ways that truly make a difference.
